Million Miles for Myelin
The Myelin Project is walking, running, biking and swimming a
million miles for myelin.
We are asking participants to donate just $1.00 for each mile you walk,
run, bike or swim. Please encourage your walking, running, biking
and swimming buddies to participate with you. Ask your family and
friends to sponsor a mile for just $1.00. These are tough economic
times but everyone can afford just $1.00
If you don’t like to exercise but want to help, you can buy a myelin
mile for just $1.00 and please ask your family and friends to buy a
myelin mile for just $1.00.
The Myelin Project has a goal to raise one million dollars for
research to cure demyelinating diseases and fund development of
a newborn screending test for adrenoleukodystrophy and with your
help we can do it -- one mile/one dollar at a time.
Demyelinating diseases can either be acquired like multiple
sclerosis or genetic like the leukodstrophies
We also want to encourage participants to create personal fund raising
pages on www.firstgiving.org
This is an excellent opportunity to become more healthy, loose
weight and help a good cause all at the same time.
